Print Finishing - Mounting, Coatings and Textures

One of the advantages of being a great boutique lab is our wide variety of print finishing services. With Lenzart, your options will range from traditional canvas mounting (yes, by peeling the emulsion before mounting), all the way to today’s contemporary print finishing options of bevel board, gator foam mounts and standout mounts.

You can depend on receiving a truly polished and professional presentation in whichever print finishing choices you make. Most of these services will give you a “ready to frame” or “ready to display” final product without adding time to your delivery.

Art board mount, often considered the mounting standard for print finishing, is triple weight thru 8x10 and quad weight thru 30x40
Bevel boards are a great ready-to-deliver, no framing needed product. Available in black, silver or gold.

Mounting

Art Board
	Is triple weight (quadruple weight for larger sizes)
Beveled Mount
	Is available in black, silver and gold and is a beautiful alternative to framing
Masonite
	Is a heavy material that will not warp and is perfect for when a very sturdy alternative is needed
Gatorfoam
	Is a sturdy but lightweight foamboard that will not warp
Standout Mount
	Is a 3/4" thick lightweight board with a black plastic finished edge. Sleek and contemporary without the need for framing, it comes ready to hang with holes included in the back
Traditional Canvas
	Lenzart “strips” the photo emulsion, resulting in a very nice canvas pattern. The canvas is a natural material and will have irregular print finishing weave. It is not unusual to see bumps and different thicknesses of the threads. Pre-manufactured canvas board is available to size 24x30 only. Where 30x40 or 40x60 canvas board is desired, we will mount the print onto canvas and then the combination onto masonite. The final effect is almost identical in appearance to canvas board, but is sturdier.

Coatings and Textures

Textures and Brushstroke Print Finishing
	Embossed texture is available in Linen and Pebble and not only adds a beautiful texture to prints, but it is also a deterrent to making illegal copies Texture spray adds a protective UV coating along with a rich, “gritty” texture Brush stroke is a texturing material that is literally brushed onto the surface of the print to create a classic, “old masters” look. A protective UV spray is applied over the brushstroke.
Lacquer Spray and Waterbased Coating
	Lacquer spray is a semi-gloss (or lustre) UV protective coating that is sprayed onto prints. It can be applied to all print sizes, including canvas Waterbased coating is also a semi-gloss UV protective coating, but it is “rolled” onto prints for a nice, smooth coating, making it an environmentally friendly process. It is available on prints up to 20x30, but cannot be applied to canvas.
